Omg!!! I would eat here again in a heartbeat. Lindsey our server was the absolute bomb-she helped guide us through the menu (especially providing me with gluten free options) and made some great suggestions. We had the double pork chop and shrimp and grits with Sangiovese wine -superb! Fantastic meal - best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had!!! Gluten free brownie was so most and full of chocolate flavor. Top notch place!!!

Food was great. I never had an oyster pie before - related to a shepard’s pie. Shrimp and grits were solid. Open faced pot roast was superb. We walked from French Qtr over - long walk and took #11 bus back. Sat on upstairs balcony in the shade so had a great view. Food came out fast and hot. Server was pleasant. It was a top notch experience and worth exploring.

Came here for dinner while in the area. This was one of my oldest Want-to-go's, so I was excited! I had seen Chef Eric on TV years ago, and when I saw this restaurant I immediately added it to my want to go list. For some reason I didn't think to get a reservation, so they said it'd be a 45 minute wait. But I've waited this long, I'll wait! I started with the Fowl Play drink. That was good and refreshing, a nice drink for the weather. For our appetizers we got the flambeaux shrimp and oyster pie. Both did not disappoint whatsoever, but the oyster pie, wow! I've never seen or tasted anything like it until today! For my entree I got the fresh catch, which was swordfish. It came with some fresh vegetables, and again, it did not disappoint! It was very fresh indeed, with great flavor! For dessert I got bread pudding. Still not as good as my mom's, but it was still good!

This place is tucked away in a cute area and was pretty lively when we went. We were seated upstairs but not on the balcony. They had tons of seating indoor and outdoors. The server was very nice, although we had to remind him we ordered the gumbo only for him to say “oh you still want that”? Overall, friendly service, super awesome vibe, and would be perfect for a “fancier” dinner or date night out. We split the fish, which definitely was enough of a portion for two people! The food is fantastic, and while kind of expensive for certain dishes, was ultimately worth it. The bar upstairs is very nice too, and we saw lots of single people sitting there so it’s definitely a place you could also chill out alone for a drink/dinner.

Absolutely amazing food and the cocktails were great. It took a while to get our food. But worth it. Seated outside on the sidewalk, even though we asked for balcony seating. No biggie ,we did have a party of 8. My husband ordered the ribeye, delicious but over cooked. I think I had the best dish out of everyone. The gumbo is so good and only 6 a cup. I shared it with 2 other people. I can't wait to go back!

Amazing food. Highly recommend it! This restaurant was recommended by Gary, our tour guide. It did not disappoint us! We had Chicken Gumbo, Shrimp and Grits, catfish Po Boy, Steak salad and Shrimp appetizer. All amazing. Great view from the balcony, great food, great courteus service by Thyme. Reasonable prices. And of course! Don’t forget the best bread pudding in NOLA!!!

While I don’t live in NOLA, this is one of my favorites that I go to every time I am in town. The Shrimp n Grits is one of my favorites, as is the fresh catch of the day. This visit it was swordfish and was absolutely incredible. Chef Eric has a great team here at the restaurant now, and he also has Saint John, which I hear has a great brunch, I just try!
